About Us

Tanglin Arts Studio (since 2005) focuses firstly on the development of self-esteem and confidence & secondly on technique also in a range of styles – ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and combination classes.  We work hard to instill a love of dance and fitness in all of our students. This is what we believe creates dancers!

Parents and teachers of our studio not only view the "Art of Dance" as being important, but really understand how instrumental it is as dancers develop creativity, music appreciation all while learning essential life lessons such as group dynamics, social interaction, and mutual respect. Dancing enriches all aspects of life.

We strive to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for our students and we focus on positive reinforcement. It is important to us, that our dancers take pleasure from their classes and performances and that they develop a healthy body image, which respects a wide variety of body types. Since most of our students will not choose a professional career we want their experience in dance to be a personally fulfilling foundation for their future.

Studio Manager,  Katja Paus has been with us for a good while now and we are loving having her at Tanglin Arts Studio.  Katja’s background lies in hospitality management as well as accounting.  She has spent almost half of her life in Asia (India, Hong Kong, Singapore) with a long list of – mostly voluntary - jobs to her name.  Her two daughters enjoy dancing at Tanglin Arts Studio while the boy could not be convinced yet.  Any organizational or other questions, ask her, she’ll know.  It’s great to have her in the office. She is very caring towards all of our students and brings many wonderful ideas to the Studio.
