Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there a refund for classes not attended?
A: Once a student signs up for a term, refunds are granted on a case
by case basis.
Tuition is due regardless of attendance. If you have or will
miss a class contact the office manager to arrange a "make up
class".
Q: Why do I have to pay in advance for a full term?
A: The policy of one time payment is intended to minimize the
administrative burden on both the customer & the staff, giving us
less time doing the accounts & more time to focus on student needs.
Q: What if we start classes half way through the term?
A: Fees will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
Q: What do students wear?
A: Students are asked to wear what is appropriate for the type of
class they are doing. See What To Wear section.
Q: How do I know what class is right for my child?
A: We suggest trying the easiest class for a specific age group
first. The teacher will then assess the student and decide
whether a more challenging class is appropriate.
Q Why do you do a recital?
A: The recital is a highpoint of the year and provides the students
with a chance to participate in a professional performance in front
of a large audience. Participation is optional. We use professional
lighting, costumes, music & choreography, photography & film to put
on a show that both students/performers & parents will
remember.
Q: What happens during the 3 month break between May and
September ?
A: We offer a range of 'summer programs', from one day to one week to
one month catering to a range of ages. Again, we suggest trying the easiest
class for a specific age group first. The teacher will then assess
the student and decide whether a more challenging class is
appropriate.
