Children's Classes
Tanglin Arts Studio is the Singapore home of Happy Feet Dance. Happy Feet Dance is a curriculum created to instill the love of dance in all students, especially those of a very young age.
Our children’s program is broken into various levels for the different age groups, with each level providing classes in various dance styles. The following table lists the age groups for the various levels.
Levels
| Class Name | Age | Description |
| Mommies & Me | 2 1/2 - 4 | This class is for students that would like to dance but aren't quite ready to go into the classroom without a parent. It is also for students that are not potty trained. |
| Twinkle Toes | 3-4 | A dance class for 3 to 4 year-olds – intro to various dance styles. This class is not recommended for students that are not fully potty-trained. However, children that are not fully potty-trained must wear a diaper. |
| Starlites | 4-5 | 30 minutes of ballet and 30 minutes of either tap or jazz. This is a great way for kids to take ballet as well as having the introduction to either tap or jazz. |
| Jades | 5-7 | Jades classes vary in length and allow for ballet and tap/jazz or all three. This is a great way for kids to take ballet as well as having tap or jazz and possibly a great way to try all types of dance. |
| Opals | 6-9 | This is a level for students that are extremely keen in ballet/tap/jazz. It is for students with some previous dance experience and great enthusiasm. |
| Rubies | 7-10 | This level is for students with a true love of dance. It is fast paced. If your student would like to be in this class but is not at the correct level, he/she is welcome to take private lessons to work up to the standard of this level. |
| Apprentice/Junior | 9-12 | This is a level that is available upon audition only. Auditions will take place August 21st. Click here for details. |
Children's Schedule
Placement of students in classes is based on ability and age. Please talk to office staff to figure out what class is appropriate.
